Beautiful black female. This female was personally selected by Snowmass Alpacas because of her fleece characteristics. Even at nine years of age her micron is averaging 24.4. One shearer said she was the most dense black alapaca he had ever shorn. Monet has a Canadian lineage so brings new blood lines to the US. She has given birth to six cria (4:2 female:male, all with lots of color) without an issue and has proven to be a fantastic mom. She has excellent conformation and a great disposition.
Description
This young guy is growing up real fast! We leased his beautiful black mom, Monet, to get some Zeppelin babies on the ground, and she sure produced. Phrixus was named after a boy in Greek mythology that was saved by the ram with the magical golden fleece. Our Phrixus has a magical golden fleece himself -
so fine and loaded with bold crimp. The picture here is from his cria shearing - fleece shorn at 6 weeks of age. We can't wait to see how this fleece comes in!
Phrixus is very strong, with excellent conformation, coverage, bone, and a gorgeous head. We are very pleased with all of Zeppelin's babies.
