We're so impressed with Blackstone's progeny!

Blackstone is a strong true black male with carpet-like coverage with brilliant shine, and even wet he has pronounced crimp! And what a colored background: black, silver, and dark brown, not a white huacaya listed! He's heavy boned, conformationally solid and carries himself with pride. His bite is perfect and has never been corrected. Blackstone is even tempered and has been wonderful to work with. His fiber has held it's fineness very well, fabulous for a true black.

Blackstone was sired by MacIntosh with Zorro PC and Ghengis Khan PC in his background. Pacific Crest Alpacas had three MacIntosh offspring in the 2006 Parade of Champions auction!

We couldn't be more pleased with the results we are seeing out of Blackstone. His cria show improvement over the dams in the areas of fleece density and character, bite, coverage, and bone density. Our only regret is not having more females to breed to Blackstone!

Blackstone is getting up there in years so he is only available for breedings on a very limited basis. Please contact us if you are interested in trying to use Blackstone in your breeding program.

Description

Is this girl adorable or what?????
This is a great little girl..very compact and correct structure with heavy bone and good chest capacity. Her fleece is soft and very black, covering her from her cute topknot to her toes.
She has generations of black genetics behind her from both sire and dam to add to her many assets.
Both her grandmother and mother have been fabulous mothers to their cria. We expect Boots to carry on the family tradition.
Although Boots REALLY wanted to be bred this summer, she was not quite ready physically so we elected to let her mature just a bit more before starting her mothering career.
A breeding to any herdsire here at Merrimac is included in her sale as well as financing.
