Such a nice personality! Daphne Shines is one of those females you can put into any group of girls and she'll adapt quickly and easily. She always seems to have a sense of calm about her.
Daphne is a beautiful caramel colored female, I would consider her to be a fading fawn with the potential to throw just about any color. Her fleece has held it's fineness with age, check out her histogram at 4 years of age! Daphne's coverage is excellent, and she has a high amplitude, low frequency style of crimp that is consistent across the whole blanket area. She's got a solid build and a healthy conformation, what I would call an easy keeper.
She was bred to our award winning silver gray male, MaRS Taxco for her first cria and the pairing produced a beautiful bay black female cria in July 2009. She has shown that she's covers black and can throw deep dark rich color. Daphne was held open for one breeding season to switch to a summer cria so in 2010, we decided to go for gray by breeding her to a rose gray, Ricochet, and the result was a pretty fawn female that some might sort as a modern light rose gray. Daphne has proven herself to be a fabulous mother, very attentive and plenty of milk. She does her job beautifully!
City Alpacas was a small herd owned by my mother and the herd has been basically a herd within the MaRS herd. My mother wants to retire so we are offering her alpacas at special prices. Once this small herd is gone there will be no way to guarantee replacements. Alpacas from MaRS will include a complimentary breeding to one of our males. If Daphne stays here on MaRS, we will likely breed her to either Allegro or Foxy's Fortune. We will provide our regular follow the female breeding guarantee. If you have any issue with a cria sired by one of our males, a re-breeding will be offered. Full reproductive guarantees on Daphne. We will provide our regular follow the female breeding guarantee.
