Rainman is the product of the VERY finest-fleeced Hemingway dam Bobbie Ann and Accoyo El Nino, whose density and fleece character are legendary. Rainman is the merger of A and B lines and has enough offspring to bear testament to his consistent impact with improved density, crimp, fineness, and coverage.
This herdsire's fleece micron at five years of age was 20.7 - a phenomenal feat and reflective of his dam Hemingway's Bobby Ann's 12-year-old fleece histogram: AFD 20.8; SD 3.0; CV 14.4%; %> 30 0.3. There is no perceptible guard hair on his apron or lower belly. Rainman's 2016 AFD is 21.1 (see histogram) and percent over 30 microns is a very low 2.6.
Rainman has a gentle, easygoing nature and passes this trait on to his crias, along with his exceptional fiber. Yarn from his fiber feels silky, is highly desirable, and sells out quickly.
Rainman is co-owned with Blonde Velvet & Me and Black Wolf Alpacas.
