Description
Mountain Do has the best selling yarn on the farm to date. ...It's that nice!
Density, Fineness & Handle, Brightness, Substance of Bone, Sweet Temperament! Don't let his size of 200+ lbs intimidate you. He is well-mannered and will even rest his head on your shoulder without any restraints and will let you check out his fleece and do the necessary herd health maintenance on him.
Mountain Do possesses a combination of "Cream of the Crop" genetics of Peruvian Hemingway, PPeruvian Caligula, and P3 White Lighting!
True to his name, Double 8 Hemiaccoyo Mountain Do exudes top quality with his exemplary dense and fine Hemi-Accoyo fleece! He's got the look that puts him in the ribbons the moment he enters the show ring! AND...He's getting better with age!
2007 Fleece: MC 19.1, SD 4.0, CV 20.9, CF 99%
2008 Fleece: MC 18.7 SD 3.6 CV 19.5 CF 99.4%
50% Accoyo and 25% Hemingway....qualifies Mountain Do as a "HemiAccoyo"!
Ian Watt paid Mountain Do quite an honorable compliment when he saw his juvenile fleece! He called Mountain Do a very promising male! If you haven't yet experienced "the jaw hitting the ground" reaction when seeing an extremely dense, popcorning "white" fleece on your 1 hour old cria....and it's a MALE & he's 26.5 lbs to boot, you've got to see our Mountain Do!
Accoyo America Leonidas, a similar looking Caligula/Hemingway cross of the same age was purchased by Snowmass Alpacas at the 2008 AAA Futurity Sale for $28,000. When shown at the World fleece show 2009, Mt.Do finished in the ribbons among three Snowmass boys and a Cas-Cad-Nac male . This guy has got the goods.
Mountain Do and the entire herd at Double 8 Alpaca Ranch is BVD/PCR tested NEGATIVE.
