Goldsmith is now solely owned by Cameo Rose Alpacas of Ohio!
Accoyo's Goldsmith was a Color Champion himself when he was in the show ring. He is affectionately referred to as "Mike" and is a rare medium fawn full Accoyo male out of Accoyo Felix (now deceased) and Accoyo Aletha. He has been our signature herd sire here at Hiben Hollow and he consistently produces exceptional cria for our farm.
Goldsmith offspring are always the first to sell of our farm due to their high quality and excellence as foundation stock. Goldsmith daughters have been easy breeders, birthers and exhibit strong mothering instincts even as maidens with an ample milk supply. Goldsmith offspring also carry their fine, crimpy fleeces and typey style well into their breeding years. These are the reasons Goldsmith offspring are in such high demand.
Accoyo's Goldsmith placed 1st in the Get of Sire class at the '06 Kentucky Classic and Wisconsin Spring Fling. The true test of a herd sire comes when his offspring are shown in the Get of Sire class and we are thrilled that the Goldsmith has done well.
The Goldsmith has had many grey and black cria. He has a proud upright frame with a correct bite, two large testicles. He is a very efficient breeder meaning less chance of scarring or infection for the female.
The Goldsmith has a great head with a perfect topknot that he stamps on his crias. Goldsmith crias typically exhibit a fine uniform fleece that is very crimpy and has an excellent hand. The Goldsmith's coverage is incredible and he also has a great mild, gentle temperament that was proven when we took him to school and he was bombarded by 30 first graders.
