SKY MASTER IS THE CULMINATION OF A LONG SEARCH.

Bolivians were imported during the last importations. They came in when the requirements for importation were at their most stringent, making for a consistently high quality gene pool. Bolivians are rare, making up only 2% of the total alpaca population imported into the United States.

We had made the decision to add full Bolivians to our breeding program. We bought a few nice females, but now we had to go on the hunt of a high quality male. Remember that only 2% if the alpaca imports were Bolivians and then compound that with less than half being males and most Bolivians being used for out crossing.

We needed a male that could stand up against all the other males out there without regard of nationality.

We combed the websites, sent for fiber samples and pictures, traced ancestors and offspring... everything we could think of. We did turn up several nice males and were close to making a decision. There was one male that we really liked, but he was 3500 miles away in Canada! Fate again dealt us a good hand and we are now the proud owners of this fantastic male, SKY MASTER.

His parents are both from the Acero Marka breeding program, Bolivia's premier breeding program. Imports from this farm averaged less than 20 microns ADF. Yeah, that was a nice bonus!

His father is the well know Acero Marka's Sky Pilot, one of Canada's most respected herd sires and sire of numerous champions. His mother, Acero Marka's Fontana (also the mother of multi champion Mojave) maintains a low micron count even at the age of 13.

Sky Master's fleece is very dense and his conformation is excellent. With 15 cria on the ground, he has proven that he passes these attributes to his offspring.
