Blue Ginger is what we have come to expect from a mix of such dominant colored and white genetics.
Look at her fiber stats for 2011 16.9m 4.3sd 25.7cv
Her fleece is luscious. It exhibits extreme luster with a beautiful slick handle that is a reflection of her fineness and uniformity. It is, for lack of a better word, a thick caramel color that shines and glistens. You can see by her pics that she has presence plus, a regal stylish head complimented by the suri beard. All of this is on board a correct sturdy frame with plenty of girth and spring of rib for easy birthing when she matures.
It is no secret you get your best colored fleeced suris by using superb white foundation parents. On the dam's side you have all great Pucara genetics from Peruvian (Accoyo) Cadete and his son our master stud Pucara Allegro who has 18 of his Australian cria winning Best In Show awards! That is paired with the best of the best coloreds in the US via Bruxo through MacGyver and grand dam on the sires side Mystique. That sire LCA Huckleberry de Latah has been one of our greatest joys in 2011. His cria are exceptional. He nearly always produces darker than the dam he breeds and they are already winning championships. In fact this girl's genetics and the current breeding are represented by both the white (Pucara Kahuna) and dark (Huckleberry) Futurity herdsires of the year, 2012, both Pucara herdsires.
Something for breeders who like color, the white dam of Ginger, Pucara Alicia, has produced a black son, Pucara Wirrpunda, who went on to win championships and ribbons including a National Reserve Championship. Her current Wyuna cria is destined for a successful show career. Our best 2012 cria next to another Wyuna cria!!!!
Blue Ginger is a complete package bringing together superb fleece traits and genetics.
She is bred to our multiple Judges Choice winner Chakotah's Wyuna, son of the famous Chakotah, Reserve Dark Herdsire of the Year 2011. This is a light line breed that will put a championship quality cria on the ground. You'd probably want a male!!!! Our Wyuna cria in 2012 are FABULOUS!
She was not shown in 2011 because as a younger girl she developed a fleece break which would have adversely affected her placings. In 2012 we showed her at the prestigious Northwest show, CABA, where as a shorn yearling she won her class and took Light Female Champion!!!! Yes, in her second fleece. Judge Jill MacLeod raved about her fineness, luster, handle and density.
