BREAKING NEWS: SANTANA IS 2024 RESERVE NATIONAL CHAMPION YOUTH HALTER!

2024 RESERVE NATIONAL CHAMPION INTERMEDIATE PERFORMANCE!

Santana, quite simply, is literally a performance rockstar. He could quite possibly be considered the top performance alpaca in the US right now. He is Gavin’s alpaca and will do anything Gavin asks of him. We literally can pull him out of the pasture and point him at an obstacle and he will do it, even if it’s been months since Gavin last worked him.

At 2024 Nationals, Diana Timmerman raved about the handle to his fleece, encouraging everyone to come feel his softness and uniformity. I had entered him into youth halter just to help make numbers, never once dreaming that he would a) place and b) WIN.

He makes gorgeous, gorgeous yarn, and the National spin off judge in 2022 commented on that quality, where he actually placed in a competitive class.

Santana has starred in a music video shot here on our farm for a local musician.

Santana has a forever home here because he is just right for Gavin. This team has won countless awards in 4-H and in a number of AOA competitions, placing 6th overall last year in National youth performance rankings (Gavin missed Jamboree, which cost him points) and the trend will continue into 2024! Watch for Gavin and Santana at 2024 Nationals, Buckeye, Jamboree, and MAPACA!

Santana even let Gavin’s MOM show him, capturing a second place and a first place in adult performance!

Thank you to Providence Meadows for letting us purchase this wonderful boy! We adore him!
