His crimp style is passed on from his sire, Sunset Hill's Golden Thunder (ARi #31017435) and his dam, Skyline's Almond Joy, (ARI # 32821666). His consistent color is passed down from Joy's Lennox line.

        We are excited to acquire this girl who was purchased by Sawdust Alpacas at the Priority Sale in Las Vegas in 2017!

        Agate has astounding fineness with an average micron count of 19.1 at five years old! Only 2.7% of her fibers are above 30 microns. Her comfort factor remains at an impressive 97.3%!

        She has proven herself to be a great mother. She is reasonably assertive with her herdmates, scared of goats, loves water, and makes me laugh.

        We are excited to breed her to Vintage Cashmere...

        Description

        Surprise! My dad was shouting around 8:15 that there was a baby on the ground. Figured Dory gave birth three weeks early. Ran out there and Dory was doing her own thing. Maybe Ariel's pregnancy actually did take. But nope, she was walking away from the cria, too. So whose child was it? Agate! No one knew she was pregnant!
        So this is Jasper. He's 17 pounds and light brown. His aunt are all trying to hijack him. We have the sire narrowed down to two, and we're leaning toward Sawdust's Almond Thunder. More to come!

        His dam Agate has several "rock" and "brew" themes in her lineage. Turns out, there is actually a cappuccino jasper stone!

        Jasper has grown into a large presence and sassy disposition.
