In Japanese, Aiko means little loved one. She got a rough start with mom having health issues and not enough milk. Even with supplemental bottles, her growth was slow and she remains on the small side. She's very docile and was easily led, with a hand behind her head, for bottles and daily weighing. At her first show, GCG21, Judge Wade Gease awarded her 2nd Place in Halter, praising Aiko's great coverage. He noted that her fineness was similar to the 1st Place female, just not as dense. In Walking Fleece, she was awarded 6th place (class of 11) by Judge Cheryl Gehly who commented on her beautiful fleece with nice uniformity. She also noted that there was little difference in primary and secondary fibers and very little guard hair.In Halter at the CA Classic 2022, Aiko was awarded second place behind the Color Champion by Judge Beverly Brehm. Walking Fleece Judge David Barboza commented on her very bright fleece with long staple, soft handle and uniformity, placing her in sixth place (of 8).
