His Cria:
– His first baby to ever show, fawn Zeppelin’s Rainsong, purchased by The Alpaca Group, won a color championship at her first show!
– We are honored that Zeppelin’s genetics have also been chosen by Pacific Crest Alpacas / Accoyo America.
– Snowmass Alpacas purchased from Delphi Alpacas (our co-owners of Zep), one black Zeppelin daughter and 3 black females bred to Zeppelin; as well as a female bred to him from another farm. Watch for those kids in their show string in 2014/2015.
Zeppelin has 110 cria on the ground so far, and he is throwing a lot of black. From black based dams his current total is:
– From 9 TB dams he has thrown 4 TB, 1 DSG, 3 BB, and 1 DF cria.
– From 2 BB dams he threw 1 BB and 1 LF cria.
– From 4 Silver greys (black base) he threw 3 TB and 1 MB.
From light colors he often darkens the dam.
– From 8 whites, he has yet to throw a white, with some beiges and even a TB
– From 6 fawns, he has thrown a variety of colors, including DRG
But regardless of color, with Zeppelin it’s ALL about the fleece quality.
Zeppelin's Lineage:
Zeppelin is prepotent for that fine fleece with gorgeous character. His dad, PHA Peruvian Taos, a stunning Legacy son, had a 22.9 AFD at 7 yrs. Zeppelin’s mom tested at 21.3 AFD at 7 years as well. Zeppelin also offers correct conformation, impressive presence, size, coverage, and substance of bone. His crimp, luster and dense lock structure are stunning and his staple length is extreme. Zeppelin is the big guy in the pasture that look s like a million bucks - he really is an impressive stud at his prime.
Zeppelin is full Peruvian and 3/8 Accoyo.
