June 28, 2015. Captain receives Black Male Color Champion and Black Male Reserve Champion at the 2015 AOA Nationals Fleece Show (with over 540 fleece entries). Wow!!!
This show stopper is just what we were looking for. Captain Midnight's black fleece exhibits extreme density, brightness and a zipper crimp usually seen in white fleeces. Oh, did I mention it's fine too?
Well "Midnight" has began his show career with a bang!!! I mean Banner. He took the blue and the banner at Empire in the fall of 2013. A Color Championship as the youngest male in the class and a yearling by less than a week. We're very excited to see this gorgeous male mature. Midnight won the Championship at NorthEast Expo and again the following week at PAOBA Breeders Showcase. He started his Fall 2014 show season with another Banner at the Green Mountain Fall Spectacular on his 2nd Birthday. Happy Day for us all.
Captain's sire, Black Midnight, has a highly advanced black fleece with excellent density and outstanding fleece character. Although Black Midnight did not like the show ring, he managed to obtain Multi Championship status including the 2010 Futurity. Captain's grandsire is the well known, multi-champion MFI Peruvian Jericho. Captain's genetics read like the who's who in the alpaca world and he stands proudly among them.
This male will take any serious black breeding program to the next level...density, soft handle, excellent crimp architecture, correct conformation and bite.
