Jade produced grey when bred to grey! made a an eye catching neo-classic medium rose grey boy that has a striking white mask. He is notable for his eye-catching looks as well as his calm personality. Grey heritage & rose grey son!
Description
Wesley has a proud stature in a good frame with strong bones. If you like flashy, stop here! His conformation is spot on and his looks are typey. His markings are striking with spots, a mask, and a grey background. His fiber is crimpy across his body on a nice staple and architecture. With his sire's pedigree stacked in grey and his dam's heritage leaning towards spots, we think he would fit nicely in either program.Grab him at this sale price before we see how he produces and we consider raising his price!
His background is grey all the way on his deceased sire's side and so we kept him though we had been moving out of our appaloosa program. With his fiber style and solid line from his grey sire, we figured we would give a try -- however, we just have too many grey offspring considering the ratio of stud to dam in our grey program is more line 2:1! We even have one proven and one junior roan (used to be called modern grey). So, long story short, he only managed one breeding last year -- to Imitation, our last appaloosa dam that has been sold as we move completely out of 'spots'. Therefore, though we don't have witness or breeding for his grey genetics expression yet, we have decided to make a move to reduce herdsires. Wesley is available at a very affordable price in hopes he will find a good home in a fancy, spotted, appaloosa or grey program.
Awards
2nd - 2021 Great Western Alpaca Show, Halter
2nd - 2021 Rocky Mountain Alpaca Halter Show
4th at the 2021 GWAS Walking Fleece, judged by Sharon Loner, but with his buddies Reposado and Artorius were two of the ones who placed above him, so it was "all the family". If the walking fleece shows also had Advanced Fleece Awards and the total fleece scores were extrapolated accordingly to be 80% of the total available points as it is in the fleece shows, then he would have garnered an advanced fleece award for his scoring.
