UPDATE: sometime in the summer of 2018, Manchu quit producing sperm. We finally tested and confirmed in spring of 2019. He had a long run and produced many outstanding cria. “Overall this male is excellent! He is a strong male with excellent substance of bone. He has a triangular head shape with a broad muzzle and good distance from eye to lower face. He is true to type thru his head and overall proportions, exhibiting fineness, uniformity of character throughout the blanket and excellent density for fineness. True Herdsire prospect!

As you can see from his histograms over the years he is VERY consistent. He sheared 13.9 POUNDS in his 2008 annual shearing. 14.2 lbs in his 2009 annual shearing, 14.8 lbs in his 2010 shearing. WOW. DENSE. 2007 Skin biopsy - Follicular Density of 61; S/P Ratio 11/1 Age 15 mo. (Watts 2006)

His 2008 Fleece (4 years old – D age category) Scored 80.5 points at AOBA Nationals 08; Fineness/Handle 18/20!; Crimp 8/10! Manchu was still winning Fleece Championships at 5 years of age. His 2009 Fleece took Reserve Color Champion!! At 10 years of age - 2014 IAO Reserve Longevity of Fineness Champion!!

Manchu’s progeny exhibit all the qualities of their sire. Of the 98 progeny on the ground, 50
have been shown, 21 of those have bannered!!! Almost 1/2 that show, WIN!!

Description

Snodrift or "Snow" as we call her, is the first to greet you at our farm. She is a proud girl who stands tall in the pasture. She has amazing bright white, fine and dense fleece.Check out her EPD! Her worst fiber stat is still in the top 20%. I guess that is to be expected when you have El Nino as your grandfather as well as Augusto in your lineage. She came to us from a farm that did not show animals, therefore has never been shown. Snow is now bred to our own Edison.

Update: Sno gave birth to a beautiful and healthy white boy we are calling Northern Blessings' Avalanche. With the genetics on both sides this is a boy to watch.

Snowdrift is bred to our own super handsome boy Northern Blessings Royal Moon. Lots of great genetics on both sides. This should be a great pairing as Snowdrift allows color to come through.

Financing Terms

Standard industry contracts are used. Breeding quality alpacas come with reproductive and live birth guarantees. You may take possession of your alpacas once the down payment is received and the “contract for purchase” signed by both parties. Transfer of ownership with ARI will not occur until full payment is received. Financing is available with 25 - 33% down, with up to 24 monthly payments. Buyer must purchase full mortality insurance for alpaca and offspring, if any, naming Northern Blessings Alpacas as beneficiary on balance due until paid in full. For individual purchases over $3000, significant discount for cash sales paid in 30 days. Special pricing often available for multiple alpaca purchases. Transportation responsibility of buyer.
