Pearl is one of the friendliest girls on the farm, and covered in a beautiful shiny true black very soft and fine fleece. She carries some of the finest black and gray genetics from her mother, going back to Magical Farms and Stachowski Alpacas breeding programs. Her sire is the well known 6 X Color Champion Peruvian Lancaster, an exceptional fawn known to produce black when bred to gray, and even better known for holding his fineness well beyond his youth. Lancaster had 20.2 Micron fleece at 7 years old!

Pearl was entered in her first show at over 2 years old. Judge Tim Lavan commented with surprise on how soft she was for an adult. Her proud stature and dense, soft, fine beautiful fleece earned her a Blue Ribbon and Black Female Reserve Color Champion at MIAF in Oct. 2011!!

UPDATE: On Aug. 26th, 2016 we bred Pearl to our Rose Gray Sir Arik, a stately gentleman of a stud with exceptional conformation and fineness at 16 years old, much like Pearl's light fawn sire, Peruvian Lancaster. Pearl gave birth during the Total Solar Eclipse over the USA on Aug. 21st, 2017 to a gorgeous, super friendly male cria, named of course Tealwater's Total Eclipse 17. His pedigree is loaded with color, but the only Light Fawn is his grandfather, Peruvian Lancaster sired by the import 6Peruvian Conan! Our Eclipse has tiny corkscrew bundles of superfine fleece in light fawn, with darker fawn ears and gray muzzle... can't wait to bring him out to the shows next year and introduce him to gray alpaca breeders!

We are extremely fond of Pearl and her dam Mystique, but after her cria Eclipse is weaned, Pearl can be bought by the right farm with a free breeding to any of the Tealwater Ranch owned huacaya herdsires.
