Rio is one of those true blacks that has a blue cast to his fleece. He has a high luster fleece that is well locked and has nice fineness, density, and a good handle. Rio has grown into a good sized male with a solid, well balanced frame. A calm but confident nature makes him an easy keeper. He has the look that is so desirable and we plan to start him breeding in 2015.
Take a look at his EPD #s on the AOA site and you'll see he has a nice balance between the fineness and density based traits. If you're interested in breeding to black, he stacks up well against the other true black males with published EPD. If you're new to EPD or don't have access to the AOA data, let us know and we'll help you out with that.
