Description

Matisse is a perfect example of what happens when great bloodlines come together. Matisse has beautiful structure, bone and bite, and a commanding presence. He takes after his sire, Beluga, in that his fleece is a deep blue black with a beautiful handle and fineness that he is keeping each year. These are fleece qualities that we really appreciate in any alpaca but especially in a black animal. As you can see from the results listed below, the judges agreed with our assessment of him.
Matisse exemplifies the quality that was the hallmark of the Lanark breeding program with 3 generations of black genetics behind him on his sire's side. Add the silver gray genetics contributed by his paternal grandsire, Peruvian Macusani and you have a deep reserve of black and gray color to draw on with this male. Matisse's dam,is Full Peruvian with beautiful coloring, bone and presence who consistently presents us with beautiful cria.

We are offering Mattie for sale because he is related to just about all of the females in our herd in one way or another so he is getting no work here.
As for what he brings to the breeding table...cover your dams that need fineness and brightness in their fleece, strong bone, correct conformation or a pleasing head. Matisse will add it. Oh - and don't forget the COLOR!!!
