UPDATE: March 15th, 2017 Calli delivered a lovely, dark rose/ silver gray, female cria weighing 13.2 lbs. This cria is by my sire Georgio, his first offspring. This cria, Exquisite Bling, is growing fast and strong.
ACC Calli is a doting mother with an abundance of milk and her cria are very active and gain weight well. She has excellent mothering skills. All of Calli's offspring have Ultra fine fleece (<20 microns), lingering fineness and are very hardy. I think this helps to show what kind of dam she is. She is a no nonsense girl and get's along with everyone. I am very pleased to have this lovely female in my herd. She has a proud presence, and the most attractive features an alpaca can ask for. Calli has correct conformation and a compact frame w/ full coverage.
As a young alpaca she had lofty, high amplitude fleece with amazing staple length (6 inches) and very nice, defined, lock structure. Calli placed well when shown in both halter and fleece. She is a very even tempered, solid female, who has years of production ahead of her. All of her cria have had beautiful, fine fleeces that has sustained it's finess into adult. She is 3/8 ACCOYO.
Calli's Dam and Sire are both producers of quality cria. In 2007, Calli's dam delivered her FOURTH female cria in a row....Her sire is an Accoyo PPeruvian Leon son, and is full of presence and color. Calli matured well, has been very healthy and is very easy to manage. She get's along well with others and has been a super "auntie" as well.
Calli delivered a 15.2 lb medium fawn male, Prairie's Sandstone, April 2008. We were pleased to see such a rich color and full coverage in this youngster. He is darker than Calli and his sire, KO's PB. He is quite a looker!
Calli delivered a 17.0 lb light fawn male, Sweet Clover's Foolish Pleasure, May 2009. He was covered head to toe in soft, crimpy fleece. He looks just like his sire, Majestic Peruvian Bronson. He took a first and Color Champion as a Juvenile on Halter!
Calli delivered a 14.0 lb FEMALE cria, Sweet Clover's Ginger Snap, on March 29th, 2011. She is a medium brown with light silver gray spots and her neck is indefinite dark (silver fibers from her ears to her shoulders)! She has soft, very fine light brown fleece from nose to toes and some grey points (ears, nose and feet) and random silver gray spots in her blanket. I have a feeling after we trim her cria coat we will see a lot more gray/ rose gray. Her confirmation is straight as a pin, with a solid frame. It is heart warming to watch this pair love on eachother.
Come on out and see this very energetic, fast growing female cria. On May 10th she was already 35 1/2 lbs!
Calli delivered an 11.3 lb male cria in the morning of Sunday, April 29th, 2012. Sweet Clover's Apollo is solid, curly maroon and has a gray spot on the front of his neck and dk brown tipped ears.
