IT'S OFFICIAL!!!! Tracker throws grey.

Tracker's first cria is a tuxedo silver male out of our grey Persephone. Spotless blanket. Gorgeous!!!

We “watched” Tracker’s dam, Tabitha for many years, and nearly purchased her… we should have. She is truly an awesome foundation female.

Her pairings with Orlando Cloud have resulted in one incredible offspring after another.

When the opportunity to purchase Tracker (her first male) arrived, it seemed like a no brainer to us.

We're betting that Tracker is a grey alpaca in a fawn suit. He lost points in competition due to the “darker fibers” in his fleece. To this we say “Yipee!” Ideal for our purposes!

Even still he has done very well in the ring, facing stiff competition from full Peruvian boys from fawn/white backgrounds. Judge’s comments from AlpacaPalooza: “This male entered the ring as if he owned it. He has a soft, sensual, yummy fleece.”

And indeed he does… take a look at his fiber stats!

Tracker is a fiber machine... returning blanket fleece weights up to 4.5#

His first pairing at 22 months was with one of our maiden foundation females. She was settled on their first date.

At this time, we are offering breed backs to females on our sales list.

Hoping for a "Pearly Queen," although we wouldn't be unhappy with another Pearly King!

This girl's lineage is impeccable, resulting in just what one would expect... gorgeous, gorgeous, GORGEOUS!

Her Color Champion and first place awards are thrilling, but even more so was her first place in Bred and Owned Yearling in a class of nine, mostly white and light. In oral reasons, it was noted that one of the determining factors for this win was the consistency across her fleece including consistency between the black and grey fibers.

Pearl gave us a gorgeous TB male out of Annual's Bea-2-Bomber, .38 Special's incredible 9X banner winner, 2X AOBA National CC in halter and RC to .38's CC in Fleece at 2012 Nationals.

For 2015, Pearl was bred to our own Orlando's Tracker Cloud. The result was Dahlia Cloud, a lovely brown female with black points, and a tiny grey spot on her flank.

Pearl was bred to Bea-2 Bomber a second time, in 2016 , and produced Pearly King, a medium silver grey male that has gone on to win two RCC's, including at AOA National Fleece Show. He's stunning. "PK" has settled his first female, and we cannot wait to see this cria.

Description

DAHLIA'S SECOND HISTOGRAM (36 MONTHS) HAS JUST COME IN.

We are so pleased with this girl She is retaining lovely fineness, in fact, her numbers have decreased just a smidge from her 12th month to her 36th month. Take a gander:


2018 - 36 mo. AFD: 20.8 SD: 4.7 CV: 22.7 % CF: 96.1 %
2016 - 12 mo. AFD: 21.2 SD: 4.9 CV: 23.3 % CF: 94.6 %

Dahlia's pedigree is a genetic powerhouse, boasting some of the best grey bloodlines in the grey "book." Rincon Cloud (maternal grandsire) and Orlando Cloud (paternal grandsire).

Her dam, Pearl, is a multiple champion and at 8 years old, is still a beauty. When bred to Bomber, Pearl gave us Pearly King, 2X blue ribbon and RCC, one at Nationals Fleece in 2017. He also retains his fineness into his second year.

Dahlia's ribbon winning tuxedo fawn sire, Tracker Cloud (Orlando Cloud son) throws grey. And into his 7th year, continues to give us 5# of soft, usable blanket fiber... and you guessed it, with lingering fineness.

Lingering fineness is a family thing!

So, it seemed like a "no brainer" to breed Dahlia to Annual's Bea-2 Bomber. He is a 9x banner winning light rose grey, and son of .38 Special. Bomber was AOA halter champion two years running and took RCC (to his sire's CC fleece) also at nationals!

Bomber's progeny have garnered 38 banners to this date, and surely there will be more to come.

This cute as a button female is just poised to throw grey or rose, with lingering fineness, lol!

She is a rosey brown with black points and a tiny grey spot on her flank.
