    Skin Biopsy (by Norm Evans, DVM)

    "Snowmass Elite Iceman" was born 7/14/2013 so he was biopsied at 4 years of age. His 15X scan shows fiber clusters uniform in shape and placement within his connective tissue. He grades a true density of 80 follicles SQ MM. Observe the 6 fiber clusters in the S/P view that show an S/P of 13.0 to 1. Twenty five clusters show an average S/P of 13.3 to 1. He shows level 3 of 4 glands and virtually none of his secondary fibers show medullation as determined by the red spot in the center of the fibers. 100 typical secondary fibers averaged 16.6 microns while 50 typical primary fibers averaged 21.5 microns for a variation of only 4.9 microns. These stats figure an AFD of only 16.97 microns which is amazing for a 4 yr old huacaya male. Based on all genetically passed fiber traits, Iceman has got to be one of the top fiber males that I have evaluated for his mature age.

    Love this girl!
    Snowdrop is the Combination of Rico Suave and Snowmass Elite Legend, doubling down on Accoyo Elite and it shows. She gets her density from Caligula through Zion. Awesome fleece with incredible character and density. Very consistent fleece character with great head style.
    Giselle has decided to keep this girl and she gets the white spot on our showstring next spring. We will be looking for an outside breeding when her show career is over.

    I am very sad that since we did not show in 2018 because of a family illness, and now no shows for everyone in 2019 because of the virus. It's unfortunate that many of our yearling girls will never see the show ring.

    We have been unable to get Snowdrop pregnant so she is being sold as a fiber alpaca or companion. Beautiful fleece!
