Earl is the first cria born on our farm. He arrived early in the morning of September 19, 2017; and we met when I walked into the barn around 5:30 AM to do chores. Still a bit sleepy eyed and not expecting him to arrive for another week or two, I was surprised. He was standing up still encased in his crusty little sheath. I am sure there is a proper name for that.

He was bright eyed and determined to find the right pair of legs to nurse between. That was interesting to watch. It did not take him long. Sasha is a good birther, and as a rookie alpaca owner I was grateful.

Earl has bright white fleece with a bold crimp style that runs up his neck and into his legs. His first histogram will be run this year, 2018.

2018 Fall Show Season is here. Earl has matured, and was a later bloomer last spring when his testicles had not descended resulting in an automatic move to 6th place. I am learning!
He has been examined and all is in tact now, so we are looking forward to this season and being a part of such an exciting industry.

The 2018 Fall Show Season is behind us. At the 2018 Buckeye Fall Fest Earl took 5th place in Walking Fleect out of 12 competitors. His strong points in the scoring was 5/5 for Uniformity of Length, 18.5/20 for Fineness and Handle, 7/10 for Uniformity of Micron, 5/5 for Uniformity of Color and 5/5 for Absence of impurities, stains or damage; for a total score of 64 out of a possible 80 points. He also took 5th place in the Novice Small Breeder Halter Class for White Alpacas.

Earl has a sweet demeanor and he is easy to handle. He would be a good addition to your herd as a fiber boy or 4H project for your children.
