He is always the first one to greet visitors as they come onto the ranch—sometimes a little too exuberantly. With his elegant conformation, proud bearing and tall stature, he is instantly recognizable as a son of the legendary Captain Morgan. To call him dark brown is to demean the beautiful mahogany red-brown fleece that he produces. We have no problem selling all of the yarn that we can make from his fiber. He has produced two cria, both white, from white dams. His ribbons include a second-place ribbon at the 2005 Monterey Pronk Halter Show (followed by a Reserve Color championship at the same show), and a second-place ribbon the following year also at the Monterey Pronk.
