    Righteous' sire Enlightened was on our very short herd sire wish list, ever since I first saw him win RC as a juvenile, at the Futurity.
    After viewing him there - forever after whenever I thought of Enlightened, I thought "liquid fleece".

    Enlightened's classic rose grey mother was one of the few alpacas to ever beat our 6X-champion female Ava - again at the Futurity. She had absolutely beautiful bright golden rose grey fleece.

    So when I saw Righteous' mom Zippity's pedigree and fleece - I hoped we might get those genetics into our herd in a very nice way with her baby. But quite honestly - to have her provide a classic LSG male (our favorite color!) of this quality was more than I had hoped for. Out of two classic grey parents, and unrelated to our herd.

    Sadly, Righteous' dad Enlightened passed away recently, so Righteous is a very limited edition.
    We are thankful that Righteous will carry those rare genetics to the next generation.
