Caesar's first cria has arrived. A handsome medium fawn male named Maximus.
This guy is just awesome. Like the emperor he is named after, Peruvian Caesar just seems to have it all - incredible fleece, impressive genetics on both sides, solid conformation, an excellent bite, beautiful coverage, and an adorable face. He seems to know already that he is something special, and he carries himself with a proud presence.
His sire is Peruvian Conan, sire to fawn multi color champion, Lancaster and true black multi color champion, Kodiak. Conan's incredible crimp and staple length has been passed on down to Caesar. On his dam's side, there is the infamous Bueno who has more get of sires than any other male alpaca to date.
Since Caesar's sire, Conan, is fawn covering black, Caesar covers at least dark fawn and quite possibly black. Imagine the quality of his fleece on a dark alpaca!
Perhaps even more impressive than all of this is the results of Caesar's latest micron tests. His AFD is 18, his SD 3.5, CV 19.4 and his percentage greater than 30 is an incredible .6%. This makes the comfort factor of Caesar's fleece an unbelievable 99.4%!
We can't wait to add these genetics and fleece characteristics to our herd through Peruvian Caesar!
