Description
Taffeta - one of those "old school" girls. I say that because you can see that her pedigree is not very deep. Accolade, Augusto.. She is a sturdy, robust girl weighing over 200 pounds after shearing. Lets say she isn't shy & usually takes treats from strangers. Her histogram information wasn't initially available but we were pleasantly surprised at the feel of her fleece. Then nearly shocked when we saw her EPD data come across the ARI site. Top 1% EPDs in fineness, uniformity and under 30 micron. The data available from shearing 2014 shows 23.4 micron and 3.72 SDAFD - pretty impressive fleece weight, etc. Yowza!
Unfortunately she had a dystocia her first birth and the cria didn't survive so technically she is unproven. The vet at the time didn't think she would have an issue in the future. Unfortunately, these things happen from time to time the baby was just in a bad position but they can often prove to be wonderful mothers down the line. We certainly think she deserves another try.
With EPDs like hers, we are working really hard at getting this girl pregnant.
