REO Speedwagon is the dark fawn, full younger brother of the well-known herdsires AUSSIE .38 Special and AUSSIE Guns ‘n Roses. This line has demonstrated a very high degree of prepotency across a range of fleece characteristics, including density, crimp, staple length, and lingering fineness. REO Speedwagon’s own biopsy results revealed density of 72 follicles SQ/MM, an S/P ratio of 11 to 1, and most impressively, a secondary to primary micron variation of just 6 microns. We also like REO’s excellent overall conformation, great bone, and generous coverage.
REO’s first crias have come in colors from light fawn through gray. As a group they look fine and dense and are carrying his great staple length.
AUSSIE REO Speedwagon is proudly co-owned with Papa’s Alpacas of Monroe, GA.
REO's biopsy results: Density 72 follicles/SQ MM, S/P ratio 11.1 to 1, secondary to primary micron variation just 6.5 microns.
