Cinders was just the male we had been looking for the quite a few years, to breed to our Shavano and Rastamon daughters. We purchased this beautiful male from Beth Roy of Suri Peak. Cinders had his first offspring on the ground in the spring of 2012 and his kids showed at the 2013 GWAS in Denver coming out of the ring with blue ribbons and much acclaim. Of the four entered all four won blue ribbons with Mystique going on the win the Reserve Color Championship. With a biopsy density of 67.5 at four years old, this guy has some impressive fiber stats. His first Great Lakes Ranch offspring certainly did not disappoint in 2015 nor in 2016. Cinders is the 2016 AAA Futurity Dark Herd Sire of the Year! Needless to say Cinders is a welcome addition to our herd sire line up. Cinders is closed to outside breedings.

Description

GLR Black Jewel is a dense lustrous true black daughter of GLR Black Pearls, one of a few Shavano daughters out of a super dense mom named Midnight Rock. Midnight Rock has been an outstanding producer over the years. Black Jewel has a packed pedigree of true black genetics, notable for excellent fiber characteristics, conformation and coverage. Her sire Cinders, 2016, 2017 and 2019 Dark Herd Sire of the Year, 2018 Reserve Dark Herdsire of the Year , has produced offspring that have been making waves in the show ring in years passed. Cinders and Midnight Rock are now passed.

Black Jewel was biopsied in 2018, biopsy report by Dr. Norm Evans; Available by request.

Black Jewel's first cria 2019, Vanya of Halo is a stunning black female born at a whopping 24.5lbs. Jewel is a large big boned female with amazing fleece characteristics and wonderful lock structure and we look forward to seeing future offspring as she is a foundation/production female.
*Jewel's 2020 Bali is another stunning true black female sired by GLR Taj. Bali is a mirror image of her dam, Black Jewel and sister, Vanya.
*Jewel's 2021 true black female cria sired by Black Midnight, Black Bijou, is another stunner not as big as her oldest sister Vanya but is going to be much like her dam with strong bone, confirmation and fleece to watch out for.
*Jewel's 2022 true black female cria sired by RGSA Dante, Black Diamonds, is going to be another show stopper as she develops and shows her strengths as her sisters have before in the show ring and with fleece production.
