Durango is the result of one of those risky breedings of a white dam to a grey sire. However, we love the results. He has the fineness from his dam and the density from his sire. He has been a great producer of fine grey show winning-offspring.
In the first halter show he was entered in, Durango, as a juvenile, took a first. Because of certain circumstances he didn't enter again until he was an adult. At that show he took a third. However, his fleece was entered in several spin-offs and he received 3 firsts and 2 seconds.
His offspring consist of 4 females and 1 male. Simply Davine is a Multi-blue ribbon winner with a 20.1 AFD at 18 months and achieved the highest points in the grey color group twice. Another daughter, Darjeeling, a dark brown, also did well in the fiber shows winning blue. And his son Atlas brought home the blue twice as well.
