Lightning Locks is a striking, proud, male carrying an elite suri fleece. His fleece exhibits extreme luster, excellent fineness and very independent locks. Seldom do you see this kind and quantity of suri locks with a micron count below 20.
Lightning Locks’ pedigree goes back to one of the top Accoyo suri herdsires ever, Pperuvian Uribe (Durazno). He comes from two of the premier alpaca herds in the country — Snowmass and Latah Creek.
He has won color championships in all the major shows in which he competed. Few males can claim ownership to four white Championships in one year, all in major alpaca shows.
Lightning Locks' crias have come in all colors including rose grey, brown and true black and have many blue ribbons and championships to their credit.
Dr. Norm Evans's fiber biopsy revealed above average density (48 follicles per sq mm), S/P ratio of 10.5 to 1, high fiber cluster uniformity and gland presence (4 of 4) and only 30% secondary medullated fiber associated with excellent handle. His secondary fiber measured 22.4 micron and his primary fiber measured 34.8 with a variation of 12.4.
