Description
Cantano's Calypsa, who was never shown, is the daughter of Cantano of Peru, who Alpaca Ventures purchased for $265,000 at auction and has over 134 registered crias, many which are champions and top placements in the shows. She has been an outstanding production dam for her owners and carries the Meteor/Cantano bloodlines providing density and deep maroon color. Her crias have ranged in color from beige to dark brown, and she has been bred to Chip's Peruvian Blackmail, WWF Bonanza, Yodi's Creation, and Yodi, producing 5 females and 3 males. Her crias available in the Suri Sensational Sale are: Crystal Blue Creation (beige female), Baker's Morningstar (dark brown female), and Lightning Rodney (light fawn male). Lightning Rodney, her 2011 light fawn male cria by Yodi's Creation is available for sale in the Sensational Suri Sale. Rodney sheared a 4 lb blanket in 2015, highlighting his density. Calypsa is currently not bred, but can be bred to a Wild Rose Suri Ranch or Rainbow Mountain Alpacas herd sire for a greatly reduced fee with her purchase.
