Dam:
Our Peruvian Shillelagh
| AOA# 844815 | White, Bay Black

Shillelagh is a top foundation dam for producing black and grey crias with heavy bone, outstanding coverage and fine fleece. She sheared a 3 lb, 7 oz fleece in 2015 at the age of 12. She has had 5 female crias in a row: 2 black, 2 grey, and one light fawn. She is a good mother, looking out for her daughters and even their crias.
Her dam is 4P Carnelian from the 1995 Peruvian import, and she is brown in color, with excellent coverage. She has large bone structure, excellent fiber coverage on her legs and still has a beard that comes in each year, even at her age! Goliath by Torbio is the maternal 1/2 brother to Shillelagh, with beautiful lock regrowth and density.
Aurora's Borealis, her sire, in a well-known true black herd sire by 2Peruvian Angel that resided on the West Coast. His coverage is phenomenal and his fiber took 1st Place at the AOBA National Show, the Estes Park Wool Market, and Fiberfest in 1998. He also won Judge's Choice for all suri fleeces at the AOBA National Show, an amazing feat for a black suri at that time in the industry. His beauty is more than skin deep and he has proven himself with his progeny. Over 83% are females, and only two of them are white.
Shillelagh is not currently bred, but can be bred to a Wild Rose Suri Ranch or Rainbow Mountain Alpacas herd sire for a greatly reduced fee with her purchase. She is currently residing at the Wild Rose Suri Ranch in Havre de Grace, MD, and can be viewed there.
She is offered for sale in the Sensational Suri Sale now through June 28th.

Description
Looking for fineness in grey? Alyssa is just 3 years old now and is ready to breed. She comes from a long line of blacks and greys, including her sire SBS Smokey from the well-known Sweetbriar Suri Farm in Ohio. Alyssa has good proportions and stretch, and a beautiful head with perfect white markings that give her "flash". She is very attached to her sister, Graycie Lee and dam, Shillelagh, and it would be great if she could be paired up with one of them when purchased.
Alyssa's dam, Shillelagh (pronounced shill-lay-lee) is another very fine fleeced black female. She has the daughter of top herd sires during her day: Peruvian Angel, Aurora' Borealis, and SBS Peruvian Maverick.
Alyssa is healthy and in good weight, but is being treated for some hair loss on her legs and belly. We anticipate that she will be in good shape by the end of June. Her conformation is very good, with proportionate length of legs and neck, and she is a very eye-catching and stylish suri. Her fleece is fine, still a Grade 1 at this point, with primaries and secondaries very close in size. How rare it is to find a grey female with this type of fiber!
We will take updated photos (shorn) and post them as available. Unfortunately, Alyssa did not get a full photo taken in full fleece before she was shorn, but we do have her 2015 fleece available and we can send a sample.
Alyssa is not currently bred, but can be bred to a Wild Rose Suri Ranch or Rainbow Mountain Alpacas herd sire for a greatly reduced fee with her purchase. She is currently residing at the Wild Rose Suri Ranch in Havre de Grace, MD, and can be viewed there.
Will be breeding Alyssa this fall. Pick the male you would like to breed her to.
