Named similar to the Saint of Miracles, the Full Peruvian Saint Jude is a miraculous dark fawn herdsire known for producing quality and color. He has incredible luster, well-defined locks, excellent coverage, and lots of density in his fleece. His flawless conformation offers a heavy bone with strong size and stature. He is an excellent breeder, settling most of girls in just one attempt.
Saint Jude is a MULTI-BLUE Ribbon winner. He won the BLUE Ribbon at the 2003 North American Show and the 2002 MaPACA Jubilee. Saint Jude has won a BLUE Ribbon in his fleece class three times, including at the 2004 MaPACA Jubilee, at the 2004 POABA Breeder's Showcase, and at the 2005 Buckeye Show.
Saint Jude's crias have done exceptional well in the show ring. He's produced CHAMPION winners at the MaPACA Jubilee, Maryland Alpaca Show, PAOBA Breeder's Showcase, Western New York show, and AOBA National Show.
Saint Jude has 3 black crias from non-black dams (Multi-CHAMPION King Coal and BLUE Ribbon winners, Major Black and Julius. He also has produced maroon including Roberto Clemente, a 4X blue ribbon winner and Champion. Saint Jude has even sired one of the higher selling offspring in the AOBA National Auction.
The renown suri judge, Susan Tellez, believes that Saint Jude's luster, lock and density are perfect for improving the fleece on colored suris. She continues by complimenting Saint Jude's large bone and substantial size as a benefit to breeding to him.
