TORBIO was an original in every sense of the word. He was one of the original Accoyo Suri herdsires hand-picked by Don Julio Barreda and introduced to the U.S. by Nola Graham. He was the "REAL THING"!
Torbio had tremendous presence. He was very proud of himself, and although he was smallish in stature, he commanded the respect of all the other males in the pasture. He was also one of the last males to survive from that importation, finally succombing to mortality at 21.5 years old. Even at his advanced age, Torbio had a bright glint in his eye, and a spring in his step.
He is best known for his ability to pass his outstanding traits to his progeny. Even on his last day, Torbio's fleece had blinding luster and that greasy feel that we all strive for. He has reproduced himself over and over, with well over 200 offspring registered. He produced champions in the show ring until July of 2011, throwing his luster, lock and density with great regularity.
In 2006, Our Peruvian Accoyo Rockstar won Suri Herdsire of the Year, and his Pop, Torbio, took Reserve Suri Herdsire of the Year! Those are powerful genetics!
Although Torbio is no longer breeding, we have the highest concentration of Torbio genetics anywhere in the world. If you are looking for Torbio genetics, give us a call. We will be offering several of his offspring, for sale on an ongoing basis. Contact Cindy at 805-907-5162 or email me at [email protected]

Beg the Question_deleted_10/3/2023 5:45:27 AM
| AOA# 31059169 | Beige
Beg the Question is the perfect foundation female! She is 5/16 Accoyo from colored lines through Uribe, the first full Accoyo suri male imported into the US from Peru. She is a solidly-built girl who takes stellar care of her crias, with lots of milk--something that is so important in a foundation female.
We have 2 of her female crias that we are keeping for our breeding program, so it is time for her to bless someone else's herd. Although she herself is white, she has produced all fawns. Right now she has a lovely fawn boy by AWH Torbio's Endless Summer at her side. He comes as part of the package if you like.
This year we bred Beg the Question to NGG Julian by Jillie. Julian has deep luster and outstanding fineness. He calls together 2 of the original Accoyo Suri bloodlines-- Uribe and Santiago. Julian's sire is NGG Accoyo Prince Harry, a proud, heavy-boned son of Pperuvian Uribe and NGG Suri Queen. Without losing the stout conformation of his sire, Julian took on the refined head shape of his dam, NGG Janita's Jillie. Jillie is a daughter of original Accoyo import Pperuvian Santiago, one of the greats.
Beg the Question is for sale or for lease. Here is how the lease works:
1. You choose a female from our list
2. You pretend that she belongs to you--pay $200 per month and any vet expenses for the term of her pregnancy--and
3. when the cria is born, you own it
4. The mom reverts to us, and the cria goes on your board bill at our regular rate. When it weans from its mother, you may continue boarding here?or add the cria to your own herd if you are all set up on your own ranch.

Purchase her or lease her to keep the cria. Talk to us about how! 805-907-5162 or [email protected]
