Description
Leeroy Browne is one of my first alpacas and has been an animal I used to learn husbandry skills. He's friendly, halters and leads very well. His fleece is extremely dense, has a nice crimp but has quite a bit of guard hair, yet still it produces lovely dark brown yarn.
I really need to move him to another home in order to accommodate my growing herd, so I'm very motivated to sell. He's a sneaky devil that looks for any opportunity to join the girls! He would make a good pet, fiber or terminal product animal but unfortunately despite his pedigree, he's not a breed worthy animal.
He has a strong Accoyo lineage from Pachacuti, Camilion, and Pascual, but also carries Hemingway G171 genes as well so that drives the density and other decent histogram numbers at 8 years old. However he has lots of guard hair now like other dark colored animals, but the fineness and density are still there for fiber uses. HIs fiber has deep, exaggerated low frequency crimp and make fine yarn.
