DCF Diamond Duke to be consigned in the upcoming Midwest Select Alpaca Auction - May 12, 2012!
*Interested breeders should look to this male to significantly reduce primary micron size and add density.*
With one of the best colored biopsy results Alpaca Consulting Services has seen in the US to date - Diamond Duke's data shows highly desirable numbers across the board.
To put these numbers in perspective, at 62.6 follicles mm2 Duke is about double the density or twice the number of follicles on his body as the average US alpaca. His fibers are growing about 20% faster than average and his primary fibers are about 12 microns finer than average.
He is currently in a category with few other males in this country - colored OR white. We will look to these “next generation males” to bring significantly improved uniformity and finer micron to their progeny allowing for the next big advancement in North American genetics - Diamond Duke is ready to do his share.
Biopsy Results - tested @ 19 mo.

"This is an elite alpaca with excellent density figures well supported by a high S/P ratio and with very good micron counts for primary and secondary fibers including a very, very good SD for the secondary fibers.
…This is a beauty, …you have one of the best in the USA here!”

***His value as a Herdsire has been confirmed by the most important measurement of all – his crias. They are proto-types of their sire in style, but more importantly, they are a significant leap ahead of their dams in density and uniformity – exactly what his biopsy predicted. ***
