We offer information on the care and breeding of alpacas. We would like to have 4H and other farm clubs visit our farm and learn about alpaca care.This would be free and would be hands on. Purpose of this is to have young people learn how to care for and show alpacas at the "Alpacas in the Ozarks - Regional Show" each year.This would include showing in the halter classes and also the obstacle course competition. It is different from other farm animals and it is fun.
Hands on learning means care of the alpaca you choose. Training, cutting toenails, feeding, cleaning pastures and necessary injections.Some of this requires a little manual exertion.
