We are here to help you - the new alpaca owner. At Snowshoe Farm, we pride ourselves on our commitment to customer service and support and will be pleased to provide references.
With the purchase of an alpaca from our farm, the new owner receives halters and leads and a book on basic alpaca care. We provide a binder of information that includes lists and website links for suggested farm supplies and alpaca-related equipment, organizations, publications and numerous other resources that are helpful to those who are new to alpaca ownership. We provide a supply of minerals and pellets for a transition period. Customers who purchase breeding stock also receive a book on neonatal care and a comprehensive cria care kit.
Our support does not end when we deliver alpacas to the new owner. We are always available to our customers and frequently provide support through e-mail, phone or farm visits.
In addition to the materials and supplies we provide as part of the sale of an alpaca to a new owner, we are pleased to be able to offer support and assistance in many areas of alpaca ownership to our customers. We have been called upon to provide assistance with breeding, birthing, selection of herdsires, showing, fiber skirting, marketing, web design and consignment sales.
