At Snowshoe Farm, we generally have room to board a number of alpacas in addition to our own herd. We restrict the total number of alpacas on our farm at any one time to ensure that each animal will receive the full attention and care it deserves. We believe that overcrowding is stressful and unhealthy. Providing a clean, comfortable environment, with fresh air and plenty of room to graze goes a long way towards protecting and enhancing the health of your alpacas.
Our farm is blessed with an abundance of pasture for grazing and we stock high quality second cut hay. Fresh, clean water is always available and we provide free-choice minerals in each pen. Alpacas are supplemented with pellets as necessary depending on body condition, age and breeding status.
We have been raising alpacas since 1999 and are experienced in day to day care as well as breeding and birthing. In addition, the services of a qualified veterinarian are available for routine and emergency medical care.
