Do you offer a free trial period?

How does the membership process work?
Openherd offers a free membership that includes all of the same basic farm profile features as our paid membership plans. This gives any farm the opportunity to try out Openherd without risk.
Once a member is ready to upgrade to a paid membership and get the benefits of all the additional sales features, their credit card will be charged and their paid membership period will start right away. Paid membership fees are non-refundable. Openherd offers annual and monthly payment options to fit everyone's budget.
What type of accounts are available?
First you will select a membership plan. You will then create your account by choosing a username and password. After this you will be asked to provide your credit card and contact information. Once this step is complete, you will be taken to your new account where you can create your farm and/or store pages and begin uploading your sales listings.
During your account creation process you will be sent a welcome email with a link to click to activate your account. Until you complete this step, your presence and sales listings will not be viewable to others on Openherd.
What happens if I decide to cancel my membership?
For farms and for individuals just wanting to bid on Openherd auctions or participate in forum discussions, Openherd offers free accounts. For farms and vendors, Openherd offers a number of paid membership plans. For more details, please take a look at our Plans, Pricing, & Features page.
Do I have to be a farm to advertise on Openherd?
You can cancel your membership at any time but there are no refunds for unused portions of a paid membership period. If you want to downgrade your paid membership to a free account, you may do so but any features and uploaded information that are part of a paid membership will be lost. If you decide to close your account on Openherd, your account information will be lost.
I'm not at all a computer person. Is that going to be a problem?
No. You do not have to be a farm to advertise, however you must have an Openherd account and all advertising must comply with Openherd's Advertising Terms and Conditions.
I don't know much about marketing - is Openherd going to help me?
No. If you feel challenged with a computer, then you're in good company - most people are! That's why we put so much effort into not only developing powerful marketing tools but making them very easy, intuitive, and even fun to use!
