Breeder's Assurance Guarantee

In the past, we have been swept away by the glamour, hype, and beauty of some very pricey studs. Sometimes the results were great. Sometimes, well, not so much. You, as our customer, need not worry about a breeding yielding a pet-quality cria. With our Breeder's Assurance Guarantee, if your cria is not of breeding quality, we will rebreed free of charge. No worries!

Song Meadows is a full-service alpaca farm in Central New York. We are located atop a hill overlooking beautiful Skaneateles Lake. We are a family farm, owned and operated by the Cuykendalls (pronounced KIKE-in-dawl)-Cindy, Karl, and son Mark. Song Meadows is the dream-come-true of Cindy, and is an off-shoot of husband Karl's working crop farm. We currently offer alpaca boarding, as well as sales of quality huacaya alpacas, alpaca fiber products, hay, and custom-made alpaca restraint chutes. Additionally, Cindy teaches fiber arts of all kinds. If you want to learn to spin, weave, knit, or felt give us a call and find out about our individual and group classes.

At Song Meadows Alpacas, the focus of our breeding program is superior fleece and correct conformation. Isn’t that the goal of every breeding program? The focus of our business, however, is the success of our customers. Alpaca ownership can be a wonderfully rewarding endeavor, both financially and in terms of lifestyle. However, it’s not magic! Like any business, it requires a solid working knowledge of the field. In addition to our experience in raising alpacas, we have years of experience in farm management, animal training and husbandry, and hay production. We strongly believe that ongoing education is crucial to the continuing success of our industry. Networking and the sharing of knowledge, support, and resources are key components of that success.

We are firmly committed to promoting all aspects of the alpaca industry. At Song Meadows you will find that we participate actively in every facet of the alpaca business. Cindy is currently President of The Empire Alpaca Association, and is in her 5th year as a member of the EAA board of directors. She has participated in a multitude of educational events, as a student, a teacher, and an organizer. We participate in and actively support alpaca shows, educational events, fiber events, and youth experiences.

Customers who purchase alpacas from Song Meadows can count on our support and assistance long after the sale. Each alpaca here at Song Meadows is appreciated as an individual ('Packies are just fuzzy people!) and we work carefully to ensure that they and their new owners enjoy a smooth transition and a satisfying relationship. Each new sale results in new enduring friendships as we work to help the new owners to meet their goals. Our business is your success!
