In northwestern PA, only 2 miles west of I-79, Exit 130, near Goddard State Park; contact us for a farm visit!
2011 and 2012 were both exciting show years with Morning Sky's Paulina possibly being the only grey huacaya to ever win a Judges' Choice halter banner, followed by a Color Champion banner at the competitive 2012 Futurity! Morning Sky's Design continued to excel while our young male, Taddeo, took two Reserve Championships with his brother, Tah-Dah, not far behind with first and second places behind his brother!
Our FULL ACCOYO, white herdsire, Accoyo Angelis, has gorgeous crias on the ground, and maintained a FINE, FLEECE of 18.7 microns as of his third shearing (2011); he has received various blue ribbons and a RESERVE CHAMPIONSHIP from Judge Jude Anderson! We continually strive to have exceptional conformation and outstanding fleece in our herd, and "Angel" is out of notable and coveted bloodlines that we feel will have a very positive effect on our herd - and yours!
Morning Sky's Design - a light fawn Accoyo Craftsman son/Accoyo Goldsmith grandson is now available for breedings. Desi has fine fleece, uniformity, and coverage, and has taken blue ribbons in almost every show in which he has competed, including the fall 2011 Empire Extravaganza, judged by Jude Anderson in a competitive class of 11! Design now has confirmed pregnancies, so please also consider him for your upcoming breedings.
Keep Morning SKY's Taddeo (meaning man to be admired) also on your breeding radar. With a gorgeous, dense fleece, he has garnered two Reserve Champion banners in large white classes at the ages of 9 months and 15 months. We can't wait for him to come of age for working herdsire status.
Our alpacas are mainly Peruvian - in both white and color - infused with Accoyo bloodlines. Our focus is on a carefully crafted breeding program where every generation improves upon the last with goals of outstanding outcomes. Our herd includes descendants of such notable greats as Caligula, Hemingway, Royal Fawn, Vengador, Legacy, and Silverado, to name just a few.
We work hard to excel in all areas of alpaca ownership - show quality breeding stock and fleece, beautiful yarn, educational opportunities, and customer service, and have given back to the industry through volunteerism. As hands on owners, visiting alpacas are given our personal attention and care, just as if they were our own. We are also on call for customer support, since the health of our alpacas (and of those who are purchased from us) are of the ultimate importance to us - just one of the benefits of dealing with a small farm who is dedicated to the progress of this industry!
Whether you are considering alpaca ownership, or are a knitter or weaver in search of beautiful alpaca yarn, contact us to visit Morning Sky Farm! While we are not open to the public year round, we do have occasional farm events. Send us an e-mail to get your name on our mailing list!
