Update..Shearing, May 1st, 2013, Accoyo Oliver fleece blanket weighs in at 7 pounds this year. This Male's fleece is really something. Extremely Soft and Extremely Dense and I would expect no less from this Full Accoyo Beauty.
Pen Cuckoo's Oliver Light Fawn son of PHA Accoyo Bentley, all I can say is this....I JUST WANT TO LIE DOWN ON HIM AND ROLL ALL OVER IN HIS BLANKET.. No kidding. Each time I feel this FULL ACCOYO Alpaca, oohh's and aah's, that's it. This Full Accoyo Ollie as I call him is the bomb. His fleece is just Awesome. It's Dense, so so Dense. His blanket is so full, my fist gets lost in it when I'm going through it. This spring shearing from Oliver should provide me with pounds of begie goodness. Last years shearing was excellent and the yarn I had produced from his fleece is exceptional. The Knitters love it. The color is deeper and richer also, it doesn't look like that fleece on his body at the moment. Oliver is also as sweet as they come. He's very mild mannered and he's easy to handle. However, it's Ollie's fleece. Honestly, it's really really nice. Best yet, it is consistent throughout his blanket. Oliver's has some of the nicest fleece I offer. If you've ever considered adding Full Accoyo to your Herd, Ollie may be just your ticket. Inquiries always welcome as are offers.
Oliver's Sire Accoyo Bentley's fleece blanket at only 9 months of age weighed in over 5.5 lbs so it's no surprise his progeny would have a heavy blanket as well. Bentley's micron count is 15.1.
