“Optimist shows a density of 92.5 follicles per sq mm of skin and an S/P of 9.7 to 1. Note that Optimist shows fiber triads which equate to great density. The fiber clusters are very uniform and we see 60% secondary modulated fibers. Optimist has awesome gland presence. One hundred secondary fibers average 14.7 microns while 50 primary fibers average 21.1 microns".
Optimist sire is is the one and only El Nino's Accoyo Michelangelo – who may be the densest alpaca we have on record according to his skin biopsy. He is a full Beige Accoyo not only multiple Champion but a producer of Champions in all colors. His Dam is SSF Accoyo Bella Vida a White Accoyo female. Bella has a wonderful genetic background, her sire one of the top-selling animals SA Accoyo Royal Avenger. Her fleece displays a great handle and beautiful brightness.
