Meeko is an exceptionally bright, vicuna fine male who's exhibited the confidence & presence of a herdsire from birth. He is growing into an incredibly dense, silky bright, super fine young male, who's first year histogram had an AFD of 18.6. Don't let anyone tell you blacks can't be fine, and you can't have fineness and density in the same alpaca. He's all this and is the product of genetics PROVEN to produce exceptionally fine, dense alpacas in all colors.
He's an exceptional son of Snowmass Nova, to whom he bears great resemblance. However, credit must also go to his amazingly potent maternal grandsire: DPA Peruvian Powerplay sire of champions including Vladimir, a 3x blue ribbon winner and reserve champion black. He has exemplary genetics from both sides of his pedigree for the production of Royal, Elite fiber.
As Meeko matures, we become increasingly impressed by him. He is phenotypically stunning, with impeccable genetics. His lovely crimped buttery soft bright fiber is consistent from his topknot to his tail and down his legs. Even the fiber at the bottom of his legs is fine!
Meeko's first crias have begun to arrive and they are spectacular! Incredible density and blinding brightness from day 1.
