AFD ranged from 21.4 to 24.5 for an average of 21.9 on his 18 month birthday and second full fleece shearing. This translates to a nice hand and soft fiber. His fleece is solid black, non-tipping, consistent from head to toe with no white fiber.
Crimp style is a low amplitude, high magnitude crimp sporting fineness with density. The features we like best about Raven are the consistency of color and character though out the fleece. He shears over 5 pounds of total fleece.
He carries this excellent fleece on a strong boned 180 pound well proportioned frame.
His pedigree, Mondavi, Neruda, Shackleton, Kodiak, Caballero Andante, Knighthawk of KPR, and the King's Ransom are well expressed in Raven through conformation, fleece, and easy handling disposition.
Because he was on the farm with MAMGB Wasake we were not able to use him but he was our second choice. He has been housed with multiple males and is a good companion. Marge has always enjoyed working with his fleece even today. He deserves a home as we are out of space.
