Colusa Riverside Alpaca Ranch is proud to offer alpacas with some of the most outstanding Fleece traits and Expected Progeny Differences (EPDs) for all fiber traits. Our herdsires are in the top 1% - 15% across the majority of their fleeces. We have been working hard over the past 13 years to selectively breed and purchase alpacas to achieve the level of genetics we can now offer our customers. Our stock's EPDs will predict fiber trait outcomes in your offspring. Slow but steady progress is occurring here at Colusa Riverside in the goal to produce the best fiber in the industry and every alpaca's potential to pass that fiber character on to each and every offspring. Visit us virtually or in person to buy, learn, or see our alpacas. We show our customers yearly histograms and EPDs. When you buy you will know if the animal has improved fiber trait longevity, not just what their fiber looked like as a juvenile or yearling.

Do You Want Herd Improvement, We Can Do It!
Colusa Riverside Alpacas can help provide overall improvement in the quality of your herd, be it by breeding or in our sale females. We can bring you up to producing show quality crias. We have our female herd and breeding males at a genotype that each will produce significant improvement in offspring.
Our males can bring more density, more fleece weight, more fineness and more uniformity of fineness to a breeding female. If you're getting lower fleece appraisal because of density, we can improve that.
